If you’ve entered the Great Brisbane Bike Ride get your bike serviced for FREE!

Your free Ready 2 Ride bicycle maintenance service will ensure your bike is pitch perfect for the big ride on Sunday 19th May.

All key safety checks will be undertaken, with a basic service included. Any red flags and we’ll let you know! Leading up to event day you definitely don’t want to be thinking about any stiffness, worn blocks, or unsecured bolts. Your mind should be on hydration, protein, and having a great morning on one of the best rides in Brisbane!

Your free Ready 2 Ride bike service will include a 22-point safety check, including;

  • Wheel and tyre condition check
  • Bolt check
  • Brake and gear check, including adjustment
  • Things to keep an eye on

Bicycle Queensland’s resident technical expert

Bicycle Queensland’s in-house bike mechanic, Josh Harris.

The magic hands of professional bike mechanic Josh Harris will be ensuring your bike is looked after. Josh has 15 years’ experience ensuring that all types of bikes are operating at optimum.

Josh is an avid cyclist having ridden the globe; South America, Europe, Australia and in his homeland New Zealand, Josh toured 3,000km, self-supported, from top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island.

Josh’s cycling experience encompasses adventure, touring, road and mountain bike riding. He understands the needs of bikes and their owners.

And if you’re looking for a tandem expert or clown bike guru – he’s your man!

How It Works

  1. Enter #GBBR19
  2. Book your service – a unique booking link will be emailed to all GBBR19 entrants.
  3. On the day of your Ready 2 Ride service, drop your bike off and collect it towards the end of the day.

Our Location

You must select a service location from either of the following two options:

Milton: Bicycle Queensland, 16/43 Lang Parade – drop off by 11am, pick up at 5pm.

Brisbane City: Cycle2City, L2/downstairs, King George Square Bus Station – drop off by 8am pick up after 4pm.
